NexEdu provides AI-powered educational tutoring services for ages 5–14, using the National Curriculum in England as a curriculum reference.

Optional website measurement

If a visitor enables optional Analytics or Advertising measurement, the site may process website usage and measurement data as described in our Cookie Policy. Google measurement tags are not loaded on NexEdu child learning and tutor routes.

We do not collect or store full payment card details. Subscription payments are processed using Stripe's hosted payment service.

3. How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to:

Provide the AI tutoring service requested by the parent or guardian
Generate learning progress information and parent reports
Manage parent accounts, child profiles and subscriptions
Respond to support enquiries
Protect accounts, prevent abuse and maintain platform security
Measure and improve website use only where the visitor has enabled the relevant optional privacy choice

Depending on the activity, processing may be necessary to perform the service contract, support NexEdu's legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, or be based on the visitor's consent. Optional analytics and advertising measurement remain off unless the visitor chooses to enable them.

4. Children's Data

NexEdu provides educational services for children under parent or guardian management. Accounts are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

We aim to use high-privacy defaults and collect only the data needed to provide the learning service. Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement tags are not loaded on NexEdu child learning and tutor routes, and advertising personalisation is disabled in NexEdu's Google tag configuration.

The AI tutor is instructed not to ask children for personal information such as a real name, address, school, telephone number or photographs.

5. Data Retention

NexEdu does not store raw tutor chat transcripts as a product feature.
Learning progress and generated parent reports are retained while the relevant account/profile remains active, subject to operational and legal requirements.
Parent accounts remain active unless they are deleted or otherwise closed.
The optional-cookie preference is stored on the visitor's device for up to 180 days.

6. Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed through Stripe's hosted Checkout and customer billing services. NexEdu does not store or process full payment card details on its own servers.

7. Hosting & Data Storage

NexEdu uses hosted server infrastructure to operate the application and store service data. We implement technical and organisational security measures designed to protect personal data.

8. Cookies and Optional Measurement

NexEdu uses essential technologies for secure sessions, security and remembering privacy choices. Optional Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement and NexEdu first-party page analytics are off by default and only operate after the visitor enables the relevant choice.

9. Service Providers and Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We use service providers where needed to operate NexEdu, including:

Stripe — hosted subscription checkout, billing and payment processing.
OpenAI API — generates tutor responses from the learning context sent by NexEdu. NexEdu does not send the child's display name in tutor or report prompts; the provider receives the learning context needed to generate the requested tutoring response or report. NexEdu sets the Responses API store option to false because it does not need OpenAI to retain response objects as application state. OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in, and that default abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days unless different approved data-retention controls apply.
Hosting and infrastructure providers — operate the servers and technical infrastructure used by NexEdu.
Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement — only when the visitor enables the relevant optional privacy choice, and not on child learning/tutor routes.

We only disclose information to service providers for the functions for which they are used, subject to their applicable contractual and privacy terms.

10. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

11. Data Security

We implement technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data from unauthorised access, misuse, loss or alteration. While no online system can guarantee absolute security, NexEdu applies industry-standard protections.

12. International Processing

Some service providers used by NexEdu operate internationally and may process data in countries outside the United Kingdom. Their applicable contractual, privacy and data-transfer terms govern that processing.
