Cookie Policy

This policy explains how NexEdu AI Tutoring Ltd ("NexEdu", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://nexedu.net. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Our approach

Essential cookies are used where needed for secure sign-in, account security, form protection and remembering your privacy choice. Optional analytics and advertising measurement are off by default and are only enabled after you choose to allow them.

NexEdu does not enable personalised advertising through its Google tag. Google measurement tags are not loaded on NexEdu child learning and tutor routes.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These technologies support functions you request and are not controlled by the optional-cookie choices.

  • NexEdu session cookie: supports secure sessions, sign-in state and account protection.
  • Security and form protection: supports CSRF protection and other measures used to protect account actions.
  • nexedu_consent_v1: stores your optional-cookie choices for up to 180 days so we can respect them on later visits.

3. Analytics — optional

If you enable Analytics in Privacy choices, NexEdu may use Google Analytics 4 and NexEdu's own first-party page-usage analytics to understand how the website is used and improve it.

  • Google Analytics 4: may set first-party cookies including _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google's documented default expiry for these cookies is up to two years, subject to browser restrictions and the visitor's choices.
  • NexEdu first-party analytics: records page paths and aggregated visit/session counts using a one-way hash of the existing session identifier. It only runs after Analytics consent and does not run on child learning/tutor routes.

We configure the Google tag with Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals disabled on NexEdu.

4. Advertising measurement — optional

If you enable Advertising measurement, the Google Ads tag may be used to measure whether a Google ad contributed to actions on NexEdu, such as reaching checkout or completing a verified subscription conversion.

When advertising measurement is enabled, Google's conversion-linking technology may store ad-click information in first-party cookies whose names begin _gcl_ (for example _gcl_aw) and in browser local storage such as _gcl_ls.

This category is used for measurement, not to enable personalised advertising on NexEdu. The Google consent signals for advertising storage and advertising user data remain denied unless you enable this choice, and the advertising-personalisation consent signal remains denied.

5. Children and learning routes

NexEdu is designed for children aged 5–14 under parent or guardian management. To keep the learning experience privacy-focused, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement tags are not loaded on NexEdu learning and tutor routes used for lessons.

6. Third-party services

Some services that are necessary to provide requested features may use their own cookies or similar technologies. For example, Stripe operates the secure hosted payment page used for subscriptions, and security providers may use technologies needed to protect forms and traffic.

Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement are controlled by the NexEdu Privacy choices described above.

7. Managing or withdrawing your choice

You can accept, reject or customise optional cookies in the NexEdu privacy banner. You can reopen the controls at any time using Cookie settings in the site footer.

If you withdraw optional Google measurement consent, NexEdu updates the consent state and removes the Google first-party measurement cookies it can access from the NexEdu domain. Where applicable, NexEdu also removes the Google Ads conversion-linker local-storage key used by this implementation. You can also remove cookies through your browser settings.
