The account is managed by the parent or guardian. A child profile is then added under that account.
How NexEdu works
NexEdu is not an unrestricted chatbot. The live product uses a controlled sequence of parent setup, year/subject selection, 10-question learning sessions, automatic reteaching rules, same-day resume and parent reporting.

Choose the child’s year group
The year group is used to recommend the appropriate KS1, KS2 or KS3 learning pathway; the parent can still choose a different Key Stage later.

Select a subject and topic
Maths, Reading, Writing and Science are available. The child enters a defined subject/topic route rather than writing an open-ended prompt.

Complete a 10-question session
Each session uses a fixed 10-question structure with warm-up, teaching/practice, checking and summary behaviour.

Reteach repeated difficulty
If two answers in a row are wrong during practice/check phases, NexEdu switches to brief teaching, gives a worked example, then asks a new question.

Parent receives progress information
Daily subject statistics are collected from the questions actually attempted and used for the parent-facing progress report.
What “adaptive” means inside NexEdu
The system evaluates each answer
NexEdu records whether an answer is correct and maintains the session state, including total questions, correct answers and the current wrong-answer streak.
Repeated errors change the next step
This behaviour is built into NexEdu’s lesson logic: during practice/check phases, two consecutive wrong answers trigger brief reteaching and a worked example before the next question.

What happens if the child leaves and comes back?
Same-day topic resume
NexEdu stores the child’s daily lesson state by child, UK day, subject, key stage and chapter/topic. Returning to that topic on the same day resumes the saved state instead of automatically starting from question one.
Daily tutoring allowance
Starter provides up to 30 minutes per day. Monthly 60 and Yearly 60 provide up to 60 minutes. Tutoring remains available through 20:59 UK time and a new daily allowance starts at 00:00 UK time.
What the parent report is based on
The report is not presented as a teacher assessment. NexEdu records daily totals and correct-answer counts for each subject practised, then uses those facts to create a parent-facing narrative.
