KS2 Maths Tutor for Years 3–6
NexEdu KS2 Maths gives children in Years 3 to 6 focused practice across arithmetic, fractions, decimals and problem solving. Sessions are generated for the selected topic and learner profile, with one scored question at a time.

What happens in a NexEdu session?
- One scored question at a time: live tutor questions use A/B/C/D choices.
- After one incorrect answer: the next turn gives a helpful hint rather than simply revealing the answer.
- After two incorrect answers in a row: NexEdu gives a short reteach and worked example before the next question.
- After question 10: the child receives a short session summary and next-step tip.
- Same-day continuity: an unfinished topic can resume from its stored lesson state later that day.

What changes in KS2 maths
In lower Key Stage 2, the National Curriculum in England develops fluency with whole numbers and the four operations while introducing more work with fractions, decimal place value, measures and geometry. By the end of Year 4, multiplication tables up to 12 × 12 are an important fluency expectation.
Upper Key Stage 2 extends place value to larger integers and connects multiplication and division with fractions, decimals, percentages and ratio. Children are expected to solve increasingly complex problems and explain their mathematical reasoning.

- Fractions, decimals and percentages, including equivalence and calculation.
- Times tables and related division facts as foundations for wider arithmetic.
- Reasoning and multi-step problem solving across number, measure and geometry.
Where NexEdu fits—and where it does not
NexEdu provides question practice and explanations. It does not replace classroom teaching, teacher assessment or formal exam preparation, and it does not guarantee a particular grade, test score or rate of progress.
Parent guidance: For KS2, use the topic that matches the difficulty your child is actually meeting in school. If a child is unsure about a prerequisite such as times tables or place value, consolidating that foundation can be more useful than moving straight to a harder topic.
Recorded question attempts contribute to the child’s daily progress report. The report is generated when the daily allowance is reached, or after the tutoring window closes for a child who used NexEdu that day without reaching the full allowance. It is a daily report rather than a separate report after each stretch of practice.
